Terms of Service

The Short Version

DriftInsight helps you monitor AI spending. We provide step-by-step setup guides, and you're responsible for following them to configure the collector in your environment. We run on reliable infrastructure and work hard to keep the service available. Pay on time, don't abuse the service, and we'll get along fine.

1. What DriftInsight Does

DriftInsight is a monitoring service that:

  • Receives AI spend data from a collector you set up
  • Analyzes that data to detect anomalies and budget thresholds
  • Sends you notifications via email or Slack

We provide insights based on the data you send us. We can't control or limit your actual AI spending — that's between you and your AI provider.

2. Your Account

  • You need a GitHub account to sign up
  • One account per person or organization
  • You're responsible for keeping your API token secure
  • If you suspect your token is compromised, regenerate it immediately in your account settings

3. Free Trial

  • New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full features
  • No credit card required to start
  • After 14 days, you'll need to subscribe to continue using the service
  • If you don't subscribe, your data will be deleted within 30 days after the trial ends

4. Payment & Subscription

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly
  • Prices are in USD
  • You can cancel anytime — you'll keep access until the end of your billing period
  • We don't offer refunds for partial months, but contact us if you have an issue
  • We may change prices with 30 days notice; existing subscriptions are grandfathered until renewal

5. Your Responsibilities

We provide clear documentation and setup guides. You agree to:

  • Follow our setup instructions to configure the collector in your environment
  • Keep your own API keys secure (we never see them)
  • Not abuse the service (excessive API calls, automated signups, etc.)
  • Not resell or redistribute access to DriftInsight
  • Comply with OpenAI's and Anthropic's terms of service

6. What We Promise (and Don't Promise)

We'll try our best to:

  • Keep the service running reliably
  • Send notifications promptly
  • Fix bugs and issues quickly
  • Respond to support requests within a reasonable time

However:

  • We run on Cloudflare's global infrastructure for reliability, but occasional maintenance or brief interruptions may occur
  • We don't offer a formal SLA with uptime credits at this price point
  • We're not responsible for unexpected AI bills — we help you monitor, not control
  • Anomaly detection is based on statistical analysis; it may miss some things or flag false positives

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriftInsight's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or unexpected AI bills.

8. Termination

You can leave anytime:

  • Cancel your subscription in account settings or contact us
  • Your access continues until the end of your billing period
  • After that, your data is deleted within 30 days

We can terminate your account if:

  • You violate these terms
  • You abuse the service
  • Your payment fails repeatedly
  • We decide to shut down the service (with 30 days notice and prorated refund)

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.

10. General Legal Stuff

  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies
  • This is the entire agreement between you and DriftInsight
